Harman utilizes hundreds of domain names to serve customers in various geographies and languages. All of these domains needed to be onboarded seamlessly with no downtime. To do this, Harman needed a tool that was compatible with all existing content delivery network (CDN) and cloud infrastructure.
Harman understood that to continue improving their web properties in the future, their developers would have to be able to easily add customizations to deliver new features and make upgrades without disruptions. For any solution to support such future-proofing, it would have to offer a simple GUI and be user-programmable.

Harman chose Zycada to overhaul its eCommerce experience. As the number one priority, Zycada helped significantly accelerate performance across the company’s global web properties. Harman’s technology teams understood that speed drives their online revenue. For every 100 milliseconds that latency is reduced, revenue jumps by 1%.
Harman employs lots of dynamic content, such recommendation engines and personalization, to create a more engaging eCommerce experience. However, dynamic content consumes more computing resources and adds latency. Using Zycada’s Cloud Service Accelerator, Harman was able to support dynamic content while drastically minimizing latency.
Zycada Cloud Service Accelerator works by pre-loading specific content in real-time for each unique user. Using machine learning, CSA technology comes to understand user behavior and predict how Harman’s online customers will interact with their sites, determining immediately what content needs to be accelerated for a given user before the user has to request the content themself.
Eliminating this step is critical to accelerating online performance.
After deploying Zycada CSA on their US properties, Harman saw time to interactive (TTI) and time to first byte (TTFB) speeds boosted by 10-20x. This resulted in a 9.4% conversion increase across the deployed footprint.
